PUNXSY PIZZA ANNOUNCES SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND BEER DELIVERY, UNVEILS DINING ROOM ADDITION

Expanded Dining Area and Adult Beverages Now Available at Punxsy Pizza

Punxsutawney, PA – September 10, 2018 – Scott Anthony, owner/operator of Punxsy Pizza, www.punxsypizza.com, the area’s community-minded and locally-owned pizzeria, is excited to announce that the restaurant has expanded both its dining room and its menu.  In addition to having expanded dining space, Punxsy Pizza is now offering alcoholic beverages for dine in or takeout, as well as offering beer for delivery.

“This year, the opportunity presented itself for me to expand Punxsy Pizza and to obtain a liquor license,” said Anthony.  “We now have beer and wine on our menu, and we have added an additional dining area.   All of this lends itself to giving our customers an enhanced dining experience.”

Customers will now find a variety of both domestic and craft beers available at the restaurant.  Also, dine in customers also will have the option of enjoying several varieties of wine with their meals.  However, all wine must be consumed on the premises.

“I got the desire to add alcohol to my menu after traveling three times to Italy with the World Pizza Champions,” Anthony said.  “When in Italy, you see how pizza was meant to be served and enjoyed.  Pairing pizza with an alcoholic beverage can be a good way to aid in digestion, so that you feel good after eating a pizza, not tired and bloated.”

In addition to customers having the option of enjoying beer or wine while dining in, beer will also be available for takeout.  Also, customers will have the option of ordering beer for delivery—a first in the area.

“Punxsy Pizza is the very first restaurant in Jefferson County to offer delivery of beer,” said Anthony.  “We offer this service to our community as both a convenience and a safety feature by letting us do your ‘beer run’ for you.”

In regards to beer delivery, there are a couple of important regulations that customers need to be aware of.  First, all alcohol being delivered must be paid for by credit card over the phone, and the name on the card must match a valid ID at the time of delivery.  Also, there is a 192 ounce limit per single alcohol order.

Along with the expanded beverage offerings at Punxsy Pizza, Anthony is also pleased to unveil an additional dining space for customers—a separate dining area named “The Grotto”.  The new dining space is separate from the existing dining room and more than doubles the seating capacity for the restaurant. 

“We have added an additional dining space—‘The Grotto’, which can seat thirty,” said Anthony.  “It can be used for either overflow dining or as a private catering area for meetings or other occasions.”

NATIONALLY-KNOWN CHRISTIAN SINGER CARMAN COMING TO PUNXSUTAWNEY

 Christian Recording Artist Performing at Punxsy First Assembly of God in November

CARRPicture1Punxsutawney, PA – September 22, 2017 – First Assembly of God Church in Punxsutawney (undefined) is excited to announce that Dove Award-winning Christian singer, songwriter, and evangelist Carman, will be performing a concert at the church on Sunday, November 19 at 10 am.  Admission will be free, but those interested in attending must obtain a ticket in advance by calling the church office or contacting the church via Facebook.

Diagnosed with myeloma cancer in 2013, Carman was given only three to four years to live.  However, he soon beat the cancer, and today, he travels the nation not only testifying of God’s healing power, but encouraging and praying with others who have various illnesses. 

“We are so thrilled and honored that Carmen is coming to Punxsutawney to not only sing, but to share his testimony of how God healed him of stage 4 cancer, and to pray for those with incurable diseases knowing that God wants to heal them,” said Devin Wintermyer, Senior Pastor of First Assembly of God. 

Arriving on the music scene in the early 1980s, Carman has racked up a string of hits over the past three-plus decades, including “The Champion”, “Radically Saved”, “Lord of All”, and “Jesus is the Light”, among many others.  Encompassing almost every music genre, the versatile musician has released twenty-two studio albums over the years, with a number of his releases reaching gold and platinum status.  Carman holds the world record for the largest Christian concert in history, when he performed at Texas Stadium with over 71,000 people in attendance.

Aside from writing and performing, Carman has also been involved in other media.  He has taken part in Christian television as producer, interviewer, and host, including Trinity Broadcasting’s show, Praise the Lord.   Also, Carman has written for and starred in various films, including R.I.O.T. and Carman: The Champion.
